Naming Ceremonies for children

Every child is a unique human being, worthy of being celebrated. And every family is equally unique, so focus on creating individual and highly personal naming ceremonies. You'll also get lots of inclusions and freebies! And you will never have to settle for

• a one-size fits all ceremony, or
  
• a "put it together yourself" ceremony composed of your choice of pre-written sections, or
  
• a flying-by-the-seat-of-the-pants ceremony where you don't have a clue what is going to be said in the ceremony until it happens, live.
  

I create each ceremony for you and your child. But I also recognise that, for some people, a ceremony for more than one child is the appropriate choice. That may be two siblings, or cousins, or the children of close friends  So I don't have a one-price-fits-all approach. Different ceremony packages require different amounts of time from me in order to create  your ceremony for you, including

• number of children involved
  
• the relationship between the children if the ceremony is for more than one child
• whether I will be performing the ceremony (for DIY ceremonies I create the ceremony for you or someone else to lead)
  
• where you are combining the naming ceremony with another ceremony, such as your wedding
• the location of the ceremony

An essential part of transitioning is choosing a new name.   Celebrating that name change, that validation of becoming the person you've always known you are, can be a powerful mechanism for social transitioning, for letting others know your true gender and beginning to live your life. I work with you to create an individual ceremony that affirms and celebrates your identity.
